Shipping with Canadian North Cargo

The cost of shipping is based on the Economy rate, which changes every three months to better reflect fluctuating market and operational costs (fuel), provide fairer rates operation-wide, and match industry standards. The Economy rates are specific to each route group and are posted here.

The cost of shipping is also based on what you’re shipping, how soon you need your shipment to arrive, what your budget is, as well as the weight and dimensions of your shipment. This is all recorded on your air waybill (AWB); please visit the Air Waybill section for information on how to complete yours. See the Service Products available to find out how fast your shipment can arrive. Most items you’ll ship are Everyday Goods, so start at that section to find out if what you’re shipping needs specialized care.

Please see the Community Investments section for more information about shipping personal food, country food, snow machines, and ATVs (ex. Hondas).

Please see the Dangerous Goods section for information on what qualifies as a dangerous good, the shipper’s responsibilities and the guidelines we maintain.

Most goods you’ll ship are considered Everyday Goods. The following goods are not considered Everyday Goods. The route groupings are the same but the arrival times and rates are different than for Everyday Products. Movement of pets and shipments of oversized goods need to be scheduled and quoted through Cargo Reservations.
